About Vickayla

Vickayla Pope, Managing Broker at Onyx Realty Professionals is originally from Flint, MI but has resided in Virginia since 1996. Kayla served 10 years in the U.S. Navy where she learned the value of preparedness. In 2005 she decided to turn her six-year part-time real estate job into a full -time real estate career upon her honorable discharge in 2005. Real estate seemed like an
ideal fit, as she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management and an associate degree in Drafting and Design.

Working in this field since 1999, coupled with her education, makes Kayla the professional both buyers and sellers can count on when they need expert guidance in this market. Her specialties include working with first-time home buyers, investors, sellers, and new construction and commercial. Anyone unfamiliar with the process of purchasing a home can truly benefit from
Kayla’s vast insight. As an active Godmother of 11 she is familiar with the housing needs of military members and knows exactly how to help anyone facing a PCS move in or out of Hampton Roads.

Kayla is not only skilled at finding the right homes for her clients but, all the agents on The Homes of Virtue team at ONYX Realty share the same values by staying on top of the mortgage industry to ensure their clients get the most amount of house for each dollar spent. She believes in bettering herself and others, so she stays current on different loans and city grant programs that can be useful to home buyers.

The practice of helping others trickles into Kayla’s personal life. She is the founder of The Mini Millionaire Moguls Nonprofit that’s dedicated to teaching today’s youth to be the wealthiest generation of tomorrow. She volunteers for several organizations, Adopt-A Family Thanksgiving and Christmas food drive and back to school events just to name a few. Her personal goal is to own and operate transitional homes “Home of Virtue” for battered and abused women. Here
she plans on offering budgeting, credit repair and job interviewing classes to enable residents to become self-sufficient.

Kayla enjoys living in this part of Virginia where there is always something to do. She like spending time with loved ones, shopping and going to local attractions in her spare time. Hobbies include skating bowling and traveling to tropical locales when her schedule permits.
